The Lamborghini Club America's Surf Air Serata Italiana Lamborghini gala at the most beautiful Pasadera Country Club, Monterey. This was a marriage of several fantastic and very similar elements. Fast Cars, Faster Planes, and surroundings to match the quality of both the Cars and planes.

The main event of the evening was a 4 course sit down dinner, menu designed by acclaimed chef Raul Cervantes, in a specially set-up tent complete with a small stage. The entertainment was the wonderfully outspoken and racecar driver Adam Carolla who was at Monterey racing his 1970 Datsun 510 and 1974 Datsun 260Z.

At one point Valentino Balboni joined Adam on stage. Valentino Balboni was Lamborghini test driver. He started with Lamborghini in 1968 when he was 19 years old.

Hilton Head Motoring Festival & Concours d' Elegance November 2013.

The HHI Festival took a page out of Amelia Island this year and changed its venue to one of the many excellent Golf Courses on the island.

I have been a judge at this event for several years, usually for British cars due to my background. This year in company with a colleague we were allocated rather a challenge. Eleven cars grouped together under the heading "English Marques Rare" and they certainly were different.

Also there was an excellent range and display of cars and a special section for beautiful wooden boats.

260 historic automobiles will be on the lawn at The Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance But as an added feature there will be more than 20 concepts and new production cars displayed on the event's "concept lawn" in front of the Shops at The Lodge at Pebble Beach.

Up to 30 Alfa 8Cs, built between 1931 and 1939, of a total of 110 remaining in existence, will be on view on the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance field, on Sunday, August 18.After the show the Alfas are off to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, for a special Alfa 8C Tour of the Rockies organized by enthusiast Tom Price of Belvedere, California. The tour will take them up to British Columbia and Alberta, Canada, through Glacier National Park and along Going-to-the-Sun Road before concluding in Whitefish Lake, Montana.

Every year, people from all over the world bring one or more of their nearly priceless possessions to the lawns at Pebble Beach. The views of the surrounding area and the magnificent cars make it one of the most fantastic settings in the world. It is a day of the "Automobile". Started out as a small car show and part of a sports car race The Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance is now a world class event and crowning conclusion to a host of car gathering in and around the Monterey Bay Area each mid of August.

This year the show will pay homage to the Simplex automobile. Best sources estimate that just over 1,600 Simplex automobiles were built before the company merged with Crane in 1915, but only 46 are known to survive.

Additional marques will receive special attention like cars with Lincoln Custom Coachwork, and Vanvooren Coachwork, also cars from Aston Martin, Lamborghini, the Porsche 911, and the BMW 507.

In late 1960 and early 70s with its massive involvement in auto sports, the National class, began the golden years of the Yugoslav auto sports, which unfortunately did not last long.

Visitors to the event had the opportunity to look at the 1954 Fiat 500 C of Branka Miller.

At the show was about forty FICA, generally in good condition, but the relatively small number in original form

The 'Tour' starts out in the early morning damp mist amongst the pines near the 'Lodge' and runs single file through the roadways of the famed "17 Mile Drive" and off into the surrounding hills. This year the Tour did a lap on the Mazda Raceway, Laguna Seca, a first for the Tour.

This 'running of the cars' is called "Pebble Beach Tour d'Elegance". The vehicles ranged from a 1906 White Model F Roi des Belges Turning, from nearby San Marino, California to a 1953 Siata 208CS Balbo Berlinetta from Knokke, Belgium, and much more. There were around 200 cars signed up for this little 'drive'.

The attendance was down to 62 participants, including 18 buses, of the "Bugs Used to hang out in" but presented a great showing in front of the National Assembly in Belgrade. The lower attendance was the result of the present economic crisis. This was the third in a row organized by the association of lovers of VW cars 'Beetle Belgrade'.

The participants came from Austria, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro who regularly come to this event .

At this year's meeting was about 50 Mini, less than what was announced and expected. Since most numerous guests were teams from Slovenia, then Greece, Hungary and Macedonia. The outermost entrant came from Finland.

The central part of meeting held on airfield where the participants were organized various games and competitions (strain rope competition in a fast changing point, driving skills, knowledge of different game from Mini history, etc.) The most successful and awarded prizes.

A 1955 Oldsmobile removed from a garage after 30 years, of storage and after four of five years with parts from America, Lebanon, Syria and Turkey it was restored it to its original condition.

The nicely shaded park in Concord, California was the site of Volkswagens, and Porsches, parked in loosely laid out informal groupings. The owners were sitting around the cars or off talking with other owners. There was no judging but some prizes were handed out at the end of the day. All great and relaxing fun.

Retro Classics 2013 The 13th Stuttgart-based Retro Classics motor trade fair with1308 exhibitors and around 3000 vehicles on display. Exhibitors came from Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, France, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy and the Netherlands.

Amelia Island Concours 2013 The 18th Amelia Island Concours held at the Ritz Carlton Resort, Florida, with an estimated crowd on the final day in excess of 25,000.

It's been a long time since I have seen so many 99/100 point cars in one location, while the variety extended from the turn of the last century through to today and even tomorrow with the Concept Exhibits! If you like Brass Cars you would not be disappointed with the Amelia display.

One thing I love about these 'smaller' shows is the presence of what I would call 'sleeper' cars, the quiet little white 911 sitting there without her air inlet grills looking for all the world as an innocent little car needing final touches on her restoration? meanwhile she is a rip-snorting giant killing 'R' version of the 911 short-wheelbase chasis, this is the car that launched an entire sub-culture in California... search on R-Gruppe in google and you will find a passionate bunch of car modies who are to this day attempting to wring just a little more speed, handling, performance and simple pleasure out of a platform that is 50 years young, and here is the real deal...

The annual June gathering of vintage or veteran cars in Beograd was held on the grounds of Vozdovac. The event is presented by the members of the Auto Club, "Veteran-Vozdovac" the oldest Auto Club in Serbia.

The well preserved 1965 Ford Mustang is an excellent example of the preservation work the club members provide.
