The Concorso Italiano has once again covered the Green of the Laguna Seca Golf Ranch, which is set within the oak-studded hillsides of Monterey, with red. And this may be the last time for this location as our office at AllCarCentral has received notice that the show is once again changing location, and this time, changing the day of the week.

The announcement is that Concorso Italiano is moving back to the Bayonet Black Horse golf course in Marina and will take place on Saturday, August 16th in 2014. The 2014 event will highlight 100 years of Maserati and the legendary cars of Zagato. But as an even newer twist, the Concorso will have a go at expanding to "Desert Concorso" in Palm Desert, California, on March 30, 2014.

But getting back to the wonderful show at this 2013 Concorso. The highlights were; The 50th Anniversary of Lamborghini with a great parade of Lamborghinis, the US introduction of the new 2014 Maserati Ghibli, and a huge collection of Apollos, including the "Thorndyke Special" from the movie "The Love Bug".

Not to be over looked was the endless line of, again, Red Ferraris. A field of Alfas, and several Bizzarinis and many other makes with Italian heritage. But one of the most striking set of cars was the very long line of Lamborghinis displaying their wonderful metallic colors that only the wildest cars on the road could successfully pull off.

One of the stars of the show was Valentino Balboni, the former chief test driver for Lamborghini.
