Concorso Italiano's® RETURNS TO THE FAIRWAYS
LAGUNA SECA GOLF RANCH, MONTEREY BAY, California.
CONCORSO ITALIANO®, the Celebration of
Italian Style™ is pleased to announce our spectacular new venue. Now led by Tom
McDowell, Concorso's rich 24-year tradition as a leading participant in the festival
of automobiles in the Monterey Peninsula will restore the tradition of prior years
and continue to be a destination for those passionate about Italian lifestyle, and
most importantly, Italian automobiles.
The 2009 event will offer new features amidst the beautiful settings of Laguna Seca
Golf Ranch (www.lagunasecagolf.com), crafted by Robert Trent Jones Senior and
Junior. The Ranch is nestled among the oak-studded hillsides of Monterey, providing
breathtaking views of gorgeous Central Coast landscapes. While you take in this new
setting, you will also find yourself enjoying an enhanced food experience at a
reasonable price, exceptional wine, music, special Italian guest commentaries,
fashion and other scheduled entertainment.
Exhibitors and Vendors will be delighted to know they will have their own special
entrance route to the golf course. This arrangement keeps them separated from the
incoming spectator traffic.
Concorso Italiano® is family, it is not pretentious as it is engaging, it is not as
much "watch me" as it is "sit and enjoy some time with me". Concorso is the place
where people want to enjoy and be around friends and passionate people who love life

Alfa Sizzles at Concorso Italiano More than 75 owners have registered their Alfas at Concorso Italiano, with more coming.
Elvis' famed 1971 DeTomaso yellow Pantera will be on display at Laguna Seca Golf Ranch for all to enjoy this special piece of Rock & Roll Americana.
Also on display the one off Tjaarda Pantera Speciale this 1973 DeTomaso Pantera one off was owned and redesigned by Mr. Tjaarda personally. Repainted in a dazzling orange with carbon fiber design changes penned by Tom Tjaarda, the original Pantera designer.

Two are the famous BAT 11 and the 1955 Ghia Streamline X "Gilda".

The BAT 11 is an exciting new Bertone designed concept car based on the platform dimensions of the Maserati Gran Turismo.
The 1955 Ghia Streamline X "Gilda" is a beautiful experimental car that first appeared at the 1955 Turin Motor Show. It was the result of a relationship between Chrysler designer Virgil Exner, and Ghia designer Luigi Segre. This car has subsequently been fitted with a single stage gas turbine power plant.
Collector and automotive aficionado, Jay Leno received the "La Bella Macchina" award this August at the 24th Annual Concorso Italiano. One of the highest honors in automotive circles, the award signifies outstanding contributions and a passion for the automotive hobby. Previous recipients include distinguished designers Sergio Pininfarina, Giotto Bizzarini and Giorgio Giugiaro, race drivers Stirling Moss, Phil Hill and Carroll Shelby, and industry notables Piero Ferrari and Luigi Chinetti, Jr. among others.
The Ferrari 288 GTO is celebrating its 25th anniversary and Concorso Italiano in collaboration with Joe Sackey Classics is honored to host the kick-off gathering, featuring the first-ever USA reunion commence at the 2009 Concorso Italiano on Friday, August 14th at Laguna Seca Golf Ranch.
