American Le Mans Series Presented by Tequila Patron at Lime Rock Park, in its 8th year brings the extremely fast Le Mans prototypes and GT cars. Using the latest in "green" initiatives, ALM showcases their leading-edge technological sophistication in the racing world.

The ALMS Northeast Grand Prix will field Le Mans Prototype (LMP), Le Mans Prototype Challenge (LMPC), Grand Touring (GT) and Grand Touring Challenge (GTC) running flat-out for a two hour and 45 minutes endurance race on one of the fastest tracks on their schedule.

RACE DAY
The American Le Mans Series title defenders, Porsche 911 GT3 RSR fielded by Flying Lizard Motorsports, clinched their first podium result of the season at their third attempt. Arriving 16 Overall and 1st in GTC drivers von Moltke-Piera put on a good show on the short 2.478 kilometre circuit.

Patrick Long grabbed second place from the start and defended his position to the first pit stop and driver change. Then teammate Joerg Bergmeister, who tops the winners' list with five victories from the last five years on this circuit, fell back just once to third place after another pit stop behind his works driver colleague Wolf Henzler, but was quickly able to regain his second place position.

BMW's lead in the American Le Mans Series GT class manufacturer, team and driver championship is now solid with Joey Hand and Dirk Müller's third consecutive win this season in the Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park.

The No. 56 BMW Team RLL M3 Gt ran from the pole and led every lap in the two-hour-and-forty-five-minute race The team completed 176 laps of the 1.474-mile circuit finishing 20.387 seconds ahead of Porsche factory pilots Joerg Bergmeister (Germany) and Patrick Long (USA).
