Annual International Auto Show, presented by AutoTrader.com, northern California's premier, largest and most spectacular auto show. The Auto Show will also have AAA's 4th Annual Greenlight Initiative Showcase. The impetus behind
the program is to encourage development of hybrid and alternative fuels by providing consumers
with the tools needed to make better informed decisions when it comes to new fuel and efficiency
technologies. Cars on display in the Greenlight Initiative Showcase include:
An all-electric Scion xB using Li-Ion batteries
A 2002 Volkswagen Jetta sedan with a auxiliary WVO (waste vegetable oil) fuel tank
The Mercedes-Benz F-Cell (fuel cell)
A Ford Crown Victoria CNG (compressed natural gas) taxi
CalCars PHEV (plug in hybrid) Prius
The Showcase will also have live PHEV conversions by Pat's Garage on Saturday, Nov. 22, Sunday,
Nov. 23, Friday, Nov. 28 and Saturday, Nov. 29 from 1:00 5:00 p.m.
In addition to the hybrid and alternative fuel vehicles the Show will also feature numerous high mileage
cars from the top manufacturers including factory displays from Smart Car, Mini and Scion
to name a few.
Among the new introductions expected to be on display at this years show
are the stunning
Aston Martin's new DBS plus the DB9 Convertible and Vantage V8;
Bentley's Azure, Flying Spur and GT Convertible; Ferrari will display the F430 Scuderia and 599 GTB
Fiorano; Lamborghini is showing the LP 560 and 640; Lotus has the LQ11 and Elise SC; Maserati
with exhibit the Quattaroporte and GranTurismo S; while Porsche will show a Carrera GT. Expected on the floor also; Fords 2010 Mustang, 2010 Fusion and
Fusion Hybrid; Lincoln s 2010 MKZ; the 2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK;
Mercury s 2010 Milan; the new Nissan new 370Z Coupe; and Volkswagens
new Beetle convertible.
Supported by the California Motor Car Dealers Association, the International Auto Show will
feature more than 800 cars, SUV's, trucks and vans representing the work of over 40
manufacturers for the year 2009 and beyond.
The most spectacular auto exposition in northern California will offer Bay Area auto buyers and
enthusiasts their first opportunity to see the new 2009 model vehicles all in one place. It's also
the only auto show held regionally that lures the dazzling high-tech displays from the world's
major manufacturers and is expected to draw over 400,000 spectators to the 1.2 million sq. ft.
Moscone Center. The International Auto Show is the largest exhibition of any kind in the
greater Bay Area and the second largest auto show in the western United States.
This year's shows will offer something for every member of the family. In addition to the 2009
model vehicles, the Auto Show will feature hybrid and alternative fuel vehicles, The Extreme
Autofest, classic cars, hot rods, racecars and provide a glimpse into the future with prototypes
and concept vehicles. The Show will also have an auto accessory booth area with aftermarket
products, interactive exhibits and much more.
Among the manufacturers exhibiting their 2009 products are Acura, Bentley, BMW, Daimler-
Chrysler, Ferrari, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, KIA, Lamborghini, Mercedes Benz,
Mitsubishi, Nissan, Porsche, Suzuki, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo to name just a few.

CELEBRATES SIX DECADES IN AUTO INDUSTRY
When Kjell Qvale began selling British imports with exotic names like Jaguar in 1948, the American
manufacturers were in the driver's seat, even excluding him from exhibiting in the San Francisco
Auto Show. Qvale fought back and founded an alternate show in 1958 that featured only imported
vehicles. Eventually, his show outdrew the Detroit-sponsored event.
