CSRG David Love Memorial Vintage Car Road Races
David Love was one of CSRG's founders.
David Love is recognized as one of the founders of vintage racing on the West Cost. David Love was one of the original group of Vintage car owners that decided that if they were to be able to enjoy driving these once proud racing machines they need to rent a track. As David and his friends group of owners grew, a name and goals were formed. This became Classic Sports Racing Group: CSRG. Out of this decision to rent a track, the active vintage racing as we now see it grew. Each year newly restored cars make it back onto the track.
CSRG David Love Memorial Vintage Car Road Races is a "museum of race cars" displayed at speed on the difficult twisting Sonoma Raceway. The casual mood of the event and drivers invite the spectator to explore and discuss these wonderful works of art that are the race cars from the golden age of sports car road racing.
This year The Love Memorial has 10 run groups encompassing everything from Production Sports Cars, and a full complement of formula cars, particularly Formula Junior, Formula B. Also there is a large gathering of Triumphs and a race for the Kastner Cup. Source: CSRG
