9th Annual Meeting of the Association of Historians of Motorsports
The Association of Historians of motorsports held their 9 annual meeting in the Museum of Yugoslav History.
On the large square in front of the museum about 150 vintage vehicles, covering motorcycles, cars, a bus and a truck. This international conference vintage vehicles is the largest regional gathering of this type.
What makes the difference compared to other conferences of vintage vehicles are the automotive history lesson. The members of the Association, are especially proud, the true essence of this gathering.

9. godišnji skup Udruženja istoričara automobilizma
U Muzeju istorije Jugoslavije održan je 9. godišnji skup Udruženja istoričara automobilizma. Na prostranom platou ispred muzeja bilo je izloženo oko 150 starovremenskih vozila, motocikala, automobila, jedan autobus i jedan kamion.
Ovaj međunarodni skup starovremenskih vozila je najveći regionalni skup toga tipa. Ono što čini razliku u odnosu na ostale skupova starovremenskih vozila su predavanje iz istorije automobilistike, na šta su posebno ponosni članovi Udruženja, prava suština ovog skupa, malo skrenuta od pažne posetilaca.


At this years meeting guests from Bulgaria celebrated a significant anniversary, 5 years of attending this meeting. They come in great numbers and in a great mood, with a large number of extremely valuable cars in excellent condition. Last year, they displayed probably the most valuable historic vehicles of all our previous meetings, a 1935 BMW 319/1 a participant of the 1939 Grand Prix of Belgrade.


Knjigu o automobilima u Knjaževcu, dokument o posebnom aspektu života jedne male varošce, izuzetno štivo koje pokazuje da se Srbija vrlo rano, reklo bi se na samom početku, priključila automobilističkom pokretu u svetu. Posebnu pomoć autoru dali su pojedinci, meštani, stavljajući autoru na raspolaganje porodične fotografije, dokumentaciju i svoja sećanja.


Any old-fashioned vehicle is valuable, in their own way. Some are rare and therefore valuable, some were much used and were used by mankind as a means of mass transportation. Preserved as a part of human history who is now standing in front of the visitors center.


Na ovom skupu gosti iz Bugarske proslavili su lep jubilej, 5 godina kako dolaze na ovaj skup. Uvek su brojni, odlično raspoloženi, sa velikim brojem izuzetno vrednih automobila, u odličnom stanju. Prošle godine su bili sa verovatno istorijski najvrednijim vozilom na svim dosadašnim skupovima, automobilom BMW 319/1 iz 1935. godine, učesnikom trke Velika nagrada Beograda 1939.

To own an old-fashioned vehicle requires a lot. First of all, love for something. Immediately after that comes the space in a garage where it can be stored. Then, a lot, a lot of time, vehicle maintenance, to ensure its safekeeping. Not to mention some serious restoration. This requires appropriate documentation, brochures, workshop manuals, magazines. If the owner can do it himself, which then requires exceptional skills and knowledge, or to hire craftsmen, who he would need to find. A particular problem is searching for the missing parts. For all it is necessary to have the appropriate funds.

Svako starovremenski vozilo je vredno, na svoj način. Neka su retka i samim tim vredna, neka su bila puno korišćena i koristila su čovečanstvu kao masovno sredstvo transporta. Sačuvan je jedan deo istorije čovečanstva koji je sada stajao pred posetiocima.Neko od posetilaca ga je posedovao, pa je to prilika da se priseti nekih prošlih, lepih vremena koje je proveo sa svojom porodicom i vozilom. Ili je nakada želeo da ga poseduje, pa sada može da ga dodirne.

A posedovati starovremensko vozilo zahteva puno toga. Pre svega ljubav za tako nešto. Odmah posle toga dolazi prostor, garaža gde će se takvo vozilo čuvati. Zatim, puno, puno vremena, za održavanje vozila, za njegovo čuvanje. Da ne govorimo o nekoj ozbiljnijoj restauraciji. Za to je potrebna odgovarajuća dokumentacija, prospekti, radionička uputstva, časopisi. To vlasnik može da uradi sam, za šta je potrebna izuzetna veština i znanje, ili da angažuje majstora, koga je potrebno naći. Poseban problem je potraga za nedostajućim delovima. Za to je potrebno raspolagati i odgovarajućim finansijskim sredstvima.

The displays of vehicles might need to be sorted out, DeLorean DMC-12, unusual and relatively rare vehicle, produced in the period 1981 - 1983 in about 9,000 units. Production was interesting with a major international financial scandal in which the owner of the company was involved.
Od izloženih vozila možda bi trebalo izdvojiti automobil DeLorean DMC-12, neobično i relativno retko vozilo, proizvedeno u periodu 1981 - 1983. u oko 9.000 komada. Proizvodnja je zaustaviljena uz veliki međunarodni finansijski skandal u koji je bio uključen vlasnik firme.

An old acquaintance, Petja Grom, respected guest from Slovenia, owner of the largest motorcycle museum in Europe always comes with some exceptional exhibits from its museums, rare motorcycles from all over the world.
Stari poznanik je i Petja Grom, dragi gost iz Slovenije, vlasnik najvećeg muzeja motocikala u Evropi. Uvek dolazi sa nekim izuzetnim eksponatom iz svog muzeja, retkim motociklom u svetskim razmerama.










In addition to displays of vehicles there were the constant companions of this type of event, the sellers. Fans of vintage vehicles could also buy something small, like an old photo, book, old prospectus, key, badge, or car model.
Pored izloženih vozila tu su bili i stalni pratioci ove manifestacije, prodavci. Ljubitelji starovremenskih vozila mogli su i da kupe od njih neku sitnicu, staru fotografiju, knjigu, stari prospekt, privezak, značku, model automobila.
