The thunder of Can-Am cars from the '60s and early '70s, ran at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion this year reliving the days of
Vic Elford in the UOP Shadow, Bobby Brown, McLaren M8F, David Hobbs's McLaren M20, Charlie Kemp in a Porsche 917-10, Ed Felter in a McLaren M8E and Jody Scheckter in a Porsche 917-10 and many others. Elford's Shadow pumped out a rumored 1200 to 1500 horsepower. The original Can-Am series attracted the world's finest drivers, many have left the track for ever. The Can-Am group is one of 15 race groups featured at this years Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion.
One of the rewards of getting to the track early is seeing the cars come out of the fog.
