Last evolution of the Vauxhall Vectra ST appeared in 2000. The Vectra ST competed in the famous British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), probably the highest quality Automobilia turing competition in the world. It ran in the FIA Super Touring (ST) class that is seen around the world and has the world's most famous car manufacturers, Volvo, Ford, Renault, Alfa Romeo, Nissan, Honda, ... competing in.

Poslednja evolucija automobila Vauxhall Vectra ST pojavila se 2000. Takmičio se u okviru čuvenog Britanskog šampionata turing automobila (BTCC), verovatno najkvalitetnijeg takmičenja turing automobilila na svetu. The Vauxhall Vectra ST is made by Opel. The two companies, Opel and Vauxhal are part of General Motors (GM), produce practical identical cars, with the ST cars made in Germany. Opel Vectra STW and Vauxhall Vectra ST are identical cars. Until a recently evolution, with the Vauxhall Vectra ST.
Engines for both cars are by the German company Spiess. The spec's: Displacement of 2000 cc, 16 valve, 305 hp power, transmission Xtrac six-speed transmission plus reverse, electronics Bosch.
In the 1970's during the golden years for auto sport in in the former Yugoslavia, a number of attractive NSU TT cars impressed numerous viewers. Races were held throughout Yugoslavia. The NSU TTS and NSU TT were powered by Spiess engines and this was Spiess ticket to the world of auto sports.

Automobil je izrađen u firmi Opel. Naime, kako su obe firme u sastavu General Motorsa (GM) i kako proizvode praktični identične automobile, u okviru kompanije je odlučeno da se ST automobili izrađuju u Nemačkoj. Opel Vectra STW i Vauxhall Vectra ST su identični automobili. Sve do poslednje evolucija, koja je rađena samo za automobili Vauxhall Vectra ST.
Motor za oba automobila je proizvod poznate nemačke firme Spiess, zapremina motora 2000 ccm, 16 ventila, snaga 305 ks, menjač Xtrac sa šest stepeni prenosa plus rikverc, elektronika Bosch.
Davnih 70-tih godina prošlog veka na prostorima bivše Jugoslavije, u vreme zlatnih godina za auto-sport na ovim prostorima, nekoliko atraktivnih automobila NSU TT zaustavlajlo je dah mnogobrojnim gledaocima. A trka je svake godine bilo puno, održavane su širom Jugoslavije. Automobili NSU TTS i NSU TT su bili ulaznica firma Spiess u svet auto-sporta.

Later, Slovene Dagmar Šuste in an Audi 80 with a Spiess engine tried his luck in the European Championship for touring cars.
Lastest evolution of the ST has almost a 5cm lower silhouette, a completely different front and rear spoiler, promament air intake system with two slanted radiators. The Spiess engine,is moved back toward the center of the vehicle and even lower below the windshield. The driver was moved more towards the middle of the vehicle for an even better balance. The brake diameter was increased.
The Swedish Ohlins shock absorbers are modified, while the suspension - forks and stabilizers are completely different from the earlier German version. Slightly altered interior and classic Ablender replaced the carbon center console. The , Bosch electronics are still exactly the same.

The British Vauxhall, factory team of Triple Eight Racing Engineering (888) ran these cars in the 2000 BTCC with BTCC legend, Jason Plato, BTCC legend and four-time champion of the FIA WTCC, Yvan Muller, and Vincent Radermecker with great success.

Kasnije je i Slovenac Dagmar Šuster sa automobilom Audi 80 urađenim u firmi Spiess okušao svoju sreću u Evropskom šampionatu za turing automobile.

Poslednja evolucija ovog automobil ima gotovo 5cm nižu siluetu, potpuno drugačiji prednji i zadnji spojler. Unapredjen je i sistem dovoda vazduha sa dva koso postavljena hladnjaka, dok je sam motor, koji je i dalje radio Spiess, dodatno povučen ka sredini vozila jos više ispod šoferšajbne. Pomeren je i položaj sednja vozača ka sredini vozila, sve zbog još boljeg balansa. Veći je prečnik kočnica.

Also back in this time, several top-end class ST cars, Renault, Volvo, Honda, Opel, ... arrived in the former Yugoslavia
Željko Ivanović, AMSK Budućnost Podgorica, drove the ST from 2009 to 2011 in Mountain races.

Drugačiji su polozaji amortizera (švedski proizvođač Ohlins), dok je vešanje - viljuške i stabilizatori potpuno drugačiji u odnosu na nemačku verziju, ranija evolucija. Neznatno je izmenjena i unutrasnjost i klasicni ablender je zamenila karbonska centralna konzola sa komandama. Elektronika je i dalje potpuno ista, Bosch.

Ove automobile u BTCC-u te 2000. godine vozili su Jason Plato, legenda BTCC-a, Yvan Muller, legenda BTCC-a i četvorostruki šampion FIA WTCC-a, i Vincent Radermecker, za britanski tim
Triple Eight Racing Engineering (888), fabrički tim firme Vauxhall, sa velikim uspehom.
Jedan od tih vrhunskih automobila stigao je u Crnu Goru, u Podgoricu kod Danka Bakrača.
U tom trenutku na prostorima bivše Jugoslavije stiglo je više vrhunskih automobila klase ST, Renault, Volvo, Honda, Opel,...

In late 2011, Pavla Komnenovića, of Belgrade arrived with an Vauxhall ST to race.
Interestinly the only differance outwardly between the Vauxhall Vectra ST and Opel Vectra STW was the front grill and the Opel carried the Vauxhall name.
Komnenović modified the car even more by creating wings, doors and hood of carbon fiber, because it is in its class of up to 2000cc in CEZ, the minimum allowable weight without driver was 900kg.

Krajem 2011. godine ovaj automobil je stigao u Beograd kod Pavla Komnenovića. Kako je Pavle Komnenović prodavac automobila firme Opel on je jednostavno promenio prednji gril na automobilu, jedina veća vidljiva razlika između automobila Vauxhall Vectra ST i Opel Vectra STW, i interno ga preimenovao u Opel. Vozi ga je na par trka, jednostavno, više trka nije ni bilo organizivano.
Komnenović je automobil dodatno olakšao izradom krila, vrata i hauba od karbona, jer je u klasi do 2000ccm u CEZ-u minimalna dozvoljena težina bez vozača 900kg. Ovaj automobil i ima otprilike toliko kg prazan.

The current owner of this car now is Milovan Vesnić. For the 2015 season he will compete in the Central European Championship on oval tracks (FIA CEZ Circuit).

The car was disassembled to the last screw, painted in the colors of the new sponsors and ready for new challenges.

Vesnić Family has experience with this car, and were longtime owners of a Opel Vectra STW, untill all class ST cars left the region for the new searies in the UK.

Na brdskim trkama je ovaj automobil vozio i Željko Ivanović, AMSK Budućnost Podgorica, od 2009. do 2011.


Porodica Vesnić's new sponsor is the EKO SERBIA company, a member of Hellenic Petroleum.

Milovan will need the help of sponsors for this seasion to cover the costs of running thes races. Longtime sponsor, Vesnić firm Optima Modrica changed ownership, and it is no longer sponsering Milovan's team. This loss led to the turbulentance of last season touring car's European Cup, (FIA ETCC) competition and the maintenance of the BMW 320 S2000 proved to be a little too much to cover.

Sada je novi vlasnik ovog automobila Milovan Vesnić. U sezoni 2015 takmičiće se u Šampionatu Centralnoevropske zone na kružnim stazama (FIA CEZ Circuit). Za ovo će mu biti, naravno, potrebna pomoć sponzora. Dugogodišnji sponzor porodice Vesnić firma Optima iz Modriče promenila je vlasnika, a sa tim i prioritete. To je dovelo do turbulentne prošlogodišnje sezone u Evropskom kupu za turing automobil (FIA ETCC), takmičenje i održavanje automobila BMW 320 S2000 pokazalo se kao preveliki zalogaj.

Novi sponzor je kompanija EKO SERBIA, članica poslovne grupe Hellenic Petroleum. Automobila je rastavljen do poslednjeg šrafa, prefarban u boje novog sponzora i spreman za nove izazove. Porodica Vesnić ima iskustvo sa ovakvim automobilom, bili su dugogodišnji vlasnici automobila Opel Vectra STW, koji je sa svim automobili klase ST, osim ovoga, napustio region.

U Velikoj Britaniji je otvoren novi šampionat u kome učestvuju ST automobili, te su svi otišli tamo. Pratićemo kakva će biti dalja sudbina ovog izvanrednog automobila.
