The Six hours of Spa festival weekend of classic motor racing, at the famous Francorchamps circuit organized by the Roadbook team is called the best international series for single-seaters, Prototypes, GT and Touring cars.
This years event brought together around one hundred cars, with Ford GT40's, Jaguar Type E, Ford Mustang and Falcon, Aston Martin, Chevrolet Corvette, Ferrari, Porsche, Lotus, TVR, and with many more marques and manufactures. Ina addition tot he vast collection of cars, on hand to race them around the famous Francorchamps circuit were great drivers like the Flying Dutchman Jan Lammers, and Belgians Jean-Michel Martin and Hervé Regout, running with Guy Lauwers in a Lotus Elan GT Convertible and Kenny Brack, winner of the 500 Miles of Indianapolis back in 1999.
The Woodcote Trophy and the Stirling Moss Trophy runs brought out pre-1963 Grand Touring cars, like the Aston-Martin Zagato, Ferrari 500 TRC and the 246S, Maserati T61 Birdcage, etc. other Aston Martin were the DB4 GT which dominated at Goodwood in the hands of Sir Stirling Moss, and the Aston Martin DP2 that competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1962.
The FIA Masters Historic Formula One grid was exceptional, with Lotus, Tyrrell, Williams, Shadow, March, Brabham, Hesketh, Penske, Surtees, Ensign, Trojan, Arrows and RAM setting up. The cars demonstrated the automotive masterly of the seventies and the start of the eighties, all in their original livery.
