Hudson Hornet 1951
Our 1951 Hudson Hornet was purchased in July 1951 by the late O.A. Schnitker of Twin Falls, Idaho. My father found her after she had been stored for about 20 years and bought her in 1993. He replaced the headliner that the rats had decided was a good nesting place, had her painted 1993 Toyota Silver over 1993 Lincoln Blue and went through her mechanically with a transmission rebuild, new brakes and tune up. The car now has only 52k on the odometer and as far as we can tell the motor has never been opened. The car is all original, with a 308 flathead "six" with a 4 inch bore and 4.5 inch stroke and 7.1 compression ratio that develops 145bhp and is still using the original Hydromatic Transmission. Over a dozen 1st and 2nd place trophies
from car shows, mainly in Albuquerque, NM in the '90s
