Vettel holds with Mercedes through the first lap showing good promise

A safety car on lap 5 gave the teams an opportunity for the first tire change to the hard tire with one after the other jamming the pit box

On lap 7 Massa was complaining the Mercedes engine was down on power

Vettel stayed on the softer tire and lead the race until lap 18 dropping him back to 3rd and 14+ behind Hamilton

Lap 22 Vettel slams past Rosberg into 2nd

Lap 24 Vettel pulls up to Hamilton and Hamilton dives into the pits for new tires, with Vettel taking the lead

Hamilton enters the track way behind Vettel

Vettel in for new tires on lap 37 leaving first position to Hamilton

Vettel comes out just in front of Rosberg for second place

Lap 39 Hamilton dives in for the softer tires but the team installed the hard tines much to the disappointment of Hamilton, coming out in 3rd

Honda power was struggling throughout.

Vettel did the run with 2 stops with Hamilton taking 3 stops

Lap 53 Vettel laps his Red Bull team mate

This was Vettel's second race for Ferrari and after his disappointing last year with the then new Red Bull car it really made him happy as was his note of jubilation in his voice on the cool down lap.
