Mondeo 2013 Kickstarts Ford's Green RevolutionAlthough Ford Mondeo has already been around for two decades now and is undoubtedly one of Ford's most iconic models, this not a car to rest on its laurels. The new Ford Mondeo 2013, presented at the Detroit Motor Show earlier this year, will include some influences from the Ford Evos concept which was introduced at last year's Frankfurt Motor Show, but will also stand in a class of its own in term of design and performances. Although the current Mk4 generation already includes key hi-tech features such as PowerShift transmission, an EcoBoost engine and one of the most advanced security systems, this will all become part of the past in about a year's time. Taking its predecessor's place, Mondeo 2013's strengths will revolve around its green spirit, with an impressive plug-in hybrid engine which will allow it to go 140 miles with a gallon of fuel – a performance currently unrivalled on the market. Apart from sporting a green attitude, the new version will also make for a superior driving experience through the SYNC entertainment system, developed along with Microsoft, which will allow your phone's music to be played straight out of the car's speakers, with Bluetooth and Internet access also available.
