The James Cunningham, Son and Company started in Rochester, New York in 1838 as a coachwork builder until 1915 building horse-drawn carriages. In 1907 they moved into the automobile market. In 1910 they produced their own engines. The Cunningham luxury automobiles were produced to 1933. Custom built bodies continued to 1935.
