4.25.13 Nissan building Mercedes-Benz engines in the USA:

Nissan will build Mercedes-Benz 4 cylinder gasoline engines in Nissan's North American, Decherd, Tennessee engine plant. The agreement is for 250,00 engines per year starting in 2014. One half of the production run will go into the Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedans from the USA based Mercedes-Benz, Alabama plant. If that is not enough to keep track of, the other half of the Nissan USA built Mercedes-Benz engines will find their way into Nissan's Infinity entry-level compact, said to be based on the Etherea concept car.

So if it looks like a duck and walks like a duck, it is therefore a German-Japanese-USA car. Right! But which one? Or does it matter any more.
