This beautiful 1960 Thunderbird is owned by John Geary of Manchester, TN. With 106,000 original miles on the odometer, this example appears to be a combination of a well maintained, clean original and an aged, high-quality cosmetic restoration. A non-stock addition is the set of 1963 Thunderbird chrome wire wheels and tri-bar hubcaps fitted with correct period width whitewall tires.

It is quite obvious that this is a nice original car that has been well kept by owners who understood and respected that this was Ford's top-of-the-line luxury-performance model. While not a show car, it is in solid semi-original condition and is a great example of the first series of four-place T-birds.

While John's car came fitted with the standard 352 cube FE series big block, the car was also available with the, then new, 390 performance engine OR a massive Lincoln 430 cube monster V8. Another unusual option available in 1960 was the sliding steel sunroof, something not often seen on an American car.
