AUDI finishes 1 and 2 overall. It was an Audi and Aston Martin 24 hr. Day

Audi Got First over all and the Aston's came in 1 and 2 in class.
Where was BMW??, Mercedes-Benz??
It seemed that there were a lot Ferraris going off into the sand.
With about 2hours left, Mark Webber in Porsche P1 #20 919 pulls into the pits and then into the garage with fuel delivery issues and leaves the car.
With 1hr14min left Porsche P1 # 14 919 was moved into the garage again with fuel delivery problems.
In the last 3 minuets of the race Porsche P1 #14 returns to the track to make its run across the finish line.
Patrick Long did the first 4 hours in highly difficult weather and track conditions in the Car #77 Porsche and put it into 1st place in class before turning it over to teammate Dempsey.

The sky opened up right after the start and really dumped on the various parts of the track, creating difficult conditions and several crashes, ending a few teams hopes of a Le Mans finish.
There were the 2 Aston Martin and the 2 Porsche GT cars running in a side-by-side bunch in the 5th hr of the race with the Astons pulling by. Great show.
Ferrari #52 of Ram Racing had to pull off when a electrical component started to burn. They had to send off for a new one.
P2 car #47 into a left turn drifted off the track onto the apron and then whipped to the right into the grass, spinning into the tire wall as the right rear suspension had given away, ending that cars day.

With just more than 17 hours as the light leaves the day and moves into night, Mark Webber in Porsche P1 #20 was running in 4th place
Early laps saw heavy rain and the slow cars on the Mulsanne straight saw the #8 Toyota over run the slower group of cars and spin into the fence. The F458 following the Toyota came in too hot and spun into the #3 Audi taking it out. The Toyota made it back onto the track but the Audi, one of 3, was trucked off and into the garage, finished.
The #14 Porsche 919 P1 car lost power early on and limped into the pits but returned.
With 16 hrs left Dumas, driving the #14 P1 Porsche was showing to be in the 6th overall position.
Early heavy rain followed by sunny parts on the track. Drivers fighting the question of which tire to drive on with heavy rain on one part and sun on others.
The cars #48 and #42 in the P2 class running at about 70 KM hit deep water and lost contact with the track, mixing it up and knocked off large chunks off the front of each car.
The Delta car lost power earl on and retired.
This year, 2014 all the P1 cars are all-wheel-drive given the hybrid drive system at the front wheels.
The #60 GTM Ferrari Parked it off into the sand in the 4th hour.
