Here is what was being reported for the 24 Hours race as of the first of 2013.

Porsche: Always a favorite in Le Mans; Porsche will field a Porsche AG Team of two 2013 911/991 GT3 RSR race cars in the GTE class challenging the Ferrari Italia. Porsche will not have a car in the LMP1 class this year but is preparing one for 2014. Will Porsche run its GT3 Hybrid again this year?

Ferrari: There is a rumor on the web that a private entry Ferrari for the LMP1 prototype class is being researched. The new 2014 rule changes for alternate energy cars seem to be a large factor in the initial concept. Posted shots look striking but will it happen and will it show? To soon to say. The Ferrari Italia is very compitive and will be on track.

Audi: Top ranked car in the LMP-1 class has been granted two of 16 automatic entries to the 2013 Le Mans 24 Hours by organizing body the Automobile Club de l'Ouest. Three Audi R18 e-tron quattros are said to be set for this season. They are updated versions of the flywheel hybrid-powered prototype.

Aston Martin: As Aston Martin Racing is fielding a factory-supported team in the American Le Mans Series in 2013 and has joined forces with The Racer's Group. We chould see a good turnout at the 24 Hours by them.

Corvette: Corvette Racing will do battle again with the C6.R for the 2013 ALMS season. The yet to be released C7.R is not expected to make its racing debut before 2014.

Nissan DeltaWing: The Nissan DeltaWing has been approved to race in the 2013 ALM series by The International Motor Sports Association , but no word yet on the 24 Hours.

2014: The Automobile Club de l'Ouest, organizer of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, has again made a number of rule changes for the 2014 race that open up the options for LMP1 racers and guide their technology closer to that of road cars. Also all LMP1 cars will be required to have closed cockpits..

The ACO developed the new rules to "encourage the development of powerful and spectacular cars and also the development of technologies that have real meaning for the everyday motorist."

Corvette Racing onset the Corvette C6-ZR1. No.73 was driven by Jan Magnussen, Antonio Garcia and Jordan Taylor.

No.48 off the track. Slicks and upcoming Rain at some parts of the Track.
