Patrick will be front-and-center just hours before the green flag drops on the Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma for a chalk-talk session.

Drivers on the track this year include Patrick and past Sonoma champions Dario Franchitti (2009), Helio Castroneves (2008), Scott Dixon (2007), Marco Andretti (2006) and Tony Kanaan (2005). This marks the series' sixth year visiting the Sonoma Valley. The Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma has produced five different winners since the series' first started at Sonoma in 2005: Tony Kanaan, 2005; Marco Andretti, 2006; Scott Dixon, 2007; Helio Castroneves, 2008; and Dario Franchitti, 2009.

This year, 2010, The Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma marks the 40th anniversary of the first-ever open-wheel race ever held in Sonoma back in 1970

Will Power returns to the scene of his terrible accident last year, in which he suffered two broken vertebrae and a concussion. The accident happened when his car rammed into the stalled car of Nelson Philippe between Turns 3A and 4 during practice for last year's Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma. Free Food and fast cars. Race fans will be treated to a free appetizer on Friday, Aug. 13, as 10 race teams from the IZOD IndyCar® Series take part in a one-day test session. Fans will also be treated to FREE Pit Tours during the test from 10:30-noon and 1-2:30 p.m.
