Grand Prix Beograda 1939
3. septembra 1939., dva dana nakon što je napadom Nemačke na Poljsku započeo II svetski rat, vožen je Grand Prix Beograda. Trka je vožena na stazi oko Kalemegdana.Trci je prisustvovalo oko 75.000 gledalaca, od 360.000 stanovnika koliko je Beograd tada imao.
Pobedio je Tazio Nuvolari vozeći Auto Union D (12 cilindara, 2990 ccm, 500 ks, maks. brzina 320 km/čas).
Obeležavajući 72. godišnjicu ove trke Srpski Savez za Istorijska Vozila (SSIV) u saradnji sa Muzejom automobila, Institutom za transfuziju krvi, Turističkom organizacijom Beograda i AMSS organizovao je demonstracionu vožnju oko Kalemegdana.
Manifestacija je počela okupljanjem učesnika na parkingu ispred Sportsko-rekreativnog centra 25. maj. Okupilo se oko 40 automobila i 10 motocikala i 1 autobus. Ovde su ušesnici i gledaoci mogli da kupe stare prospekte, značke, knjige, modele automobila. Zatim su se ušesnici uputili prema stazi oko Kalemegdana. Obišli su tri kruga burno pozdravljani od prisutnih graભana. Nakon toga pripreભena je izložba učesnika na Trgu republike. Izložba na otvorenom privukla je veliki broj gledalaca.
Iz Crne Gore, iz Bara, je sa VW 1200 proizvedenim 1967. došao Branislav Hupka. On i njegov otac Zigmund su se dovezli automobilom i želeli su ranije da krenu nazad jer ih je sutradan čekao sličan skup u Nikšiću.
Verovatno najinteresantniji učesnik skupa bio je Auburn 852 Super Charged Speedster . Prema rečima Bratislava Brace Petkovića, vlasnika Muzeja automobila i vlasnika ovog automobila, radi se o izuzetno vrednoj replici Auburn automobila. Original je bio namenjen holivudskim filmskim zvezdama. Ova replika je raભena u istim proizvodnim halama kao original, na istom mašinama i istim alatima. Kao takva i ona ima status oldtajmera.
Osim ovog kabrioleta na skupu ih je bilo još, Jaguar E , Triumph TR 4A, Triumph TR 6, Triumph Spitfire, Jensen Healey Mk 2, MG TF, MG MGC, VW Carmann Ghia, Cadillack Eldorado, Porsche 356, Opel Kadett C, Fiat 1500, Buick Electra 225, Mecedes 190 SL, lep broj. Uz automobile sa krovom sa platnenim otvorom, Fiat 500 C, Fiat 500.
Lepo i sunčano vreme je bilo idealno za njih.

Grand Prix Beograda 1939
On the 3rd September, 1939, two days after the German attack on Poland, which marked the start of World War II, the Grand Prix of Belgrade was held. The race was driven on the track around Kalemegdana.Trci and was attended by around 75,000 spectators which came from the 360,000 inhabitants of Belgrade's then population.
The winner was Tazio Nuvolari driving the 12 cylinders, 2990 cc, 500 hp, Auto Union D which had a max. Speed of 320 km / hour.
Celebrating the 72nd anniversary of this race for the Serbian League of Historic Vehicles (SSIV) and in collaboration with the Museum of Automobiles, the Blood Transfusion Institute, and Belgrade Tourist Organization of AMSS, the event began by bringing together participants in a parking lot in front of the Sports and Recreation Center. It attracted about 40 cars and 10 motorcycles and a bus.
Probably the most interesting car in the meeting was an Auburn 852 Supercharged Speedster. According to Petkovic Bratislava Brace, the owner of the car, and owner of the museum, it is a particularly valuable Auburn replica car. Originally it was intended for Hollywood movie stars. This replica was made in the same manufacturing facilities as the original, on the same machines and the same tools. As such she has the status of old-timers.
