Fisker Automotive Ranks No.2 in Dutch Luxury Vehicle Sales.
The Fisker Karma Sedan, first made available in December 2011, has announced that it out-sold the BMW 7-series, Mercedes S-class and Audi A8 in the highly competitive Dutch market, for the January-April period.

This may mark the first time that an ultra-low emission hybrid car has outsold combustion engine rivals.

Fisker Automotive based in California has received certification from the US Environmental Protection Agency for the Fisker Karma Electric Vehicle with extended range (EVer™) and is now the first vehicle of its kind on the market.

The company has created more than 300 new jobs in the past 24 months and supported hundreds more.

A Silver Mirage 2012 Fisker Karma, one of the initial batch of production cars from Fisker Automotive an American car company founded in 2007 was delivered to Ray Lane the Chairman of the Board of Fisker Automotive, this July 26, 2011.

Designed by Henrik Fisker, the Karma is assembled in Finland and will be sold in North America through a network of premium brand retailers and globally through luxury importers. Fisker Automotive was founded to produce electric vehicles with extended range that deliver un-compromised responsible luxury to the consumer.

The four passenger Karma sedan has a top speed in excess of 125 mph and will accelerate from 0-to-60 in 5.9 seconds. In real world driving, the Karma can achieve the equivalent of 100 MPG.

The company was created in 2007 to leverage the design capabilities of Fisker Coachbuild, LLC, founded by auto design veterans Henrik Fisker and Bernhard Koehler, and the PHEV powertrain capabilities of Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc. (NASDAQ-QTWW), a major Tier 1 supplier of clean vehicle technologies to the automotive OEMs. Previously, Fisker, CEO, was design director for Aston Martin and president and CEO of BMW's DesignworksUSA. Koehler, COO, led operations for Ford's Global Advanced Design Studio and created concept cars for Aston Martin, MINI and BMW.

12.16.2011 Anaheim, California, USA:
Fisker Automotive appointed Tom LaSorda Vice Chairman of the Fisker Board and Chairman of the Board's Strategy Council. LaSorda will also be an executive advisor to the management team on operations, reporting to co-founder and CEO, Henrik Fisker.

LaSorda was a former CEO, President, and Vice Chairman of Chrysler Group. Prior to his service with Chrysler, LaSorda held a number of executive positions at General Motors over a 23 year career.

The Fisker Karma sedan an electric vehicle with extended range (EVer™) has been crowned 'Luxury Car of the Year' by BBC Top Gear magazine as well as 'Car of the Year' by Top Gear TV presenter, James May.

As a start-up American car company, located in California, this award is very significant for Fisker Automotive. Top Gear is the world's leading global automotive magazine and television show which is based in Europe - the heart of the world's top luxury automotive brands.

The Karma sedan which has recieved a Global Green Design Award and went up against models from Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar and Rolls-Royce.
