Vozač NIS Petrol Racing Team-a Dušan Borković, automobil SEAT Leon Cup Racer, na prvoj trci FIA ETCC 2015 u Mađarskoj startovao je sa pole pozicije.

U kvalifikacijama je ostvario najbrže vreme, krug je izvezao u vremenu 1:55.228. Prvo mesto u kvalifikacijama donelo mu je i prva tri boda na startu sezone.

Iza je ostao aktuelni evropski šampion Petr Fulin iz Češke, sa zaostatkom nešto većim od jedne desetinke. Ovim je svima stavio do znanja da će se u svojoj drugoj sezoni u FIA ETCC jurišati na titulu. Potvrdilo se da je Borković doneo najbolju moguću odluku prelaskom u FIA ETCC, za razliku od starta sezone u Svetskom šampionatu turing automobila (FIA WTCC), ovde da ima odlične uslove, i što je najvažnije, odličnog inženjera (rođenog brata inženjera WTCC asa Norberta Michelisza).

Dušan Borković duguje veliku zahvalnost i svog generalnom sponzoru, kompaniji NIS. NIS i Dušan Borković petu godinu zaredom nastavljaju plodnu saradnju u okviru NIS Petrol Racing Team.

Trka 1 vožena je u nedelju u 10.05, a trka 2 od 11.10. Start trke 1 je "leteći". Poredak vozača na trci 2 formira se tako što prvih osam vozača sa trke 1 startuju obrnutim redosledom. Za razliku od trke 1, na trci 2 vozači startuju iz mesta.

Borkovića u Mađarskoj je bodrio veliki broj navijača koji su doputovali iz Srbije, a sa njim je na put krenuo i pun autobus srpskih novinara i zaposlenih iz kompanije NIS.

U trci 1 Borković je silovito krenuo u, ali mu je pobeda izmakla nakon bizarnog incidenta. Na njega je tokom trke naleteo Andreas Pfister i bukvalno bacio na automobil Petr Fulina, zbog čega su ga sudije kaznile prolaskom kroz pit line.

To ga je koštalo pada na 12. poziciju, međutim, uprkos nepredviđenim poteškoćama, Borković ponovo pokazuje svoj neosporni kvalitet i do kraja trke prestiže jednog po jednog rivala, što mu na kraju donosi peto mesto i start s četvrte pozicije u trci 2 (poredak vozača za drugi start određuje se obrnutim plasmanom prve osmorice u prvoj trci).

- U prvoj trci nije prošlo kako sam planirao, imao sam prvu startnu poziciju, ali je start bio dosta grub, pa sam izgubio dve pozicije. Zbog mog viška kilograma u odnosu na rivale video sam da su brži na pravcu, ali sam onda agresivnije napao i kad sam izbio na prvo mesto, kažnjen sam. Ne znam zbog čega jer nisam kriv ni za jedan incident - rekao je Borković nakon petog mesta u prvoj trci.

Raspoloženog Ducu je ovakav epilog trke 1 samo još više motivisao, od starta trke 2 pokazao je od čega je napravljen. Prvi krug se nije završio, a Borković je izbio na čelo pretekavši svog najvećeg konkurenta i miljenika domaće publike Ferenc Ficzu.

Od tog momenta postalo je jasno da mu niko ne može ništa na stazi, a impresivnom vožnjom je potvrdio dominaciju i najavio pohod na najviši plasman u nastavku sezone.

- U drugoj trci sam brzo izbio na prvo mesto i kontrolisao sam trku. Ne mogu da ne budem srećan jer sam završio na podijumu. Ipak, mogao sam da pobedim na obe trke... Nadao sam se prvom mestu i to me malo muči. Pokazao sam brzinu već u prvoj trci u novom automobilu, iako konkurenti voze svoje još od januara. Ne mogu da kažem da sam dominantan, ali gađam prvo mesto u generalnom plasmanu. Kasnim bod posle Mađarske, ali kada znamo šta je bilo u prvoj trci, to je u redu. Biću sve bolji i bolji - obećao je Borković posle trijumfa.

Borković je u Mađarskoj uspeo da se izbori sa još jednim hendikepom, zbog visine od 207 cm teži je od konkurenata za 20kg, što nije zanemarljiva razlika na kružnim stazama. Posle prvog trkačkog vikenda sakupio je ukupno 17 bodova i zauzima drugo mesto u generalnom plasmanu sa poenom zaostatka. Prvi je za Mađar Ferenc Ficza.

Sezonu FIA ETCC 2015 čini šest trkačkih vikenda, a sledeći je na programu 20. i 21. juna u Slovačkoj, na stazi Slovakiaring.
