Donald Healey prior to the Austin-Healey cars built the Healey Silverstone, introduced in 1949 as a two-seater with an open topped aluminum body; the chassis a rigid, box-section design with a 102 in (2591 mm) wheelbase featuring trailing-arm /coil spring independent front suspension. It use Triumph running gear and powered by the twin-cam Riley 2.5-litre engine with 104 bhp. |
